is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shababco Enterprises, which works to improve the lifestyle and prosperity of Arab youth through innovative services and facilities in the areas of retail, finance, real estate and education. Batterjee is a Board Member and Co-Owner of the International Saudi German Hospital Group, the Gulf’s largest private health developer.
He co-founded a number of civic-minded institutions, including Batterjee University, the largest private university in the Middle East, as well as the first charitable blood bank in Saudi Arabia, and, with UNIDO, the first non-profit for reducing unemployment by cultivating entrepreneurship.
He also founded the Saudi chapter of global Entrepreneurs’ Organization, receiving the Randi Carrol Award for this initiative.
Batterjee was named a Young Arab Leader by the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
He is also a Member of the Bretton Woods Committee.
He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, and received an Executive MBA from the London Business School.
